| Abstract | The floristic diversity of the area under study was analized and 215 taxa of Cuban vascular plants were collected; 115 in zones of limestone hills and 140 in the serpentinitic plain. The endemism index was near 24.5%, with the gretest number of endemics in the lowlands of the Reservation and Cuba central-Cuba oriental were the most abundant. The potentialities of the different taxa were referred, 143 with diverse applications that were taken off in two list. The results supported the proposition of Natural Reservation of Maraguan to be included in the system of protected areas of Camagüey province. KEY WORD. Flora, Maraguan, Camagüey, Cuba.
