| Abstract | VANET (Vehicular Ad-hoc Network) is an ad-hoc wireless-based network developed to support the development of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) technology. VANET that uses the vehicle as its node is expected to control congestion and reduce the risk of accidents, to utilize the potentials that exist on VANET. Currently, IEEE is developing a change in the standard for VANET IEEE 802.11p protocol or commonly called WAVE (Wireless Access Vehicular Environments). Because VANET networks are spontaneous and unstructured based on direct vehicle communication to vehicles with ever-changing topologies and because of the high mobility of vehicle nodes, designing a VANET network requires the selection of a routing protocol. In this study using the reactive and proactive routing protoco, AOMDV and DSDV. Then use the IEEE 802.11 standard and 802.11p. In this study using a simulation method and some supporting software, NS2, SUMO, and MS.Excel. Quality of service parameters used throughput, PDR, delay, and routing overhead. Simulation with variations of nodes 30, 90, and 150 nodes and a maximum speed of 13.89 m/s. The results is AOMDV routing protocol better in PDR, and DSDV better in throughput, delay, and routing overhead. IEEE 802.11p standards better in throughput, PDR, delay, 802.11 better in routing overhead. |
