| Abstract | This project consists on the design and implementation of a mesh network using low cost nodes (ODROID and Raspberry Pi). Equipment and network cards are evaluated, as not all drivers are complete enough to support the required settings. Nodes are configured as Access Point to allow customers outside the network to connect with another one. Two possible routing protocols are evaluated: proactive and reactive. The OLSR protocol is chosen to implement the network as there is a freeware version available to the selected devices. The network is tested using different connection topologies. It is evaluated by testing the transmission capacity and response time reconfiguration of the network when topology changes. Theoretical data, instructions for the design of the network and all the results of different designs can be found on this document. |
