| Abstract | Objective: The objective of this study was to identify the nursing diagnoses in the immediate postoperative period of patients submitted to liver transplantation. Methods: Retrospective study carried out by examination of the digitalized medical charts of patients submitted to liver transplantation from July 1 st to December 31 st , 2002. Results: Twenty-three patients had undergone liver transplantation in the period determined for the study. Threehundred and eleven nursing diagnoses classified in 27 categories were found. Conclusion: Incidence of 100% of the following diagnosis was observed: bathing/hygiene self-care deficit, impaired tissue integrity, impaired bed mobility, risk for aspiration, risk for infection, risk for impaired skin integrity, and risk for falls. |
