| Abstract | There are many retired foreigners residing in Spain that come from Western and Northern Europe, as well as in other Southern areas. This phenomenon is related to the residential immigration processes and to new forms of tourist-residential specialization. However, there is some data linking such residents with the tourist industry. The main purpose of this article is to highlight these links from the analysis of the career of the retired foreigners that were employed previously in the tourist sector in Spain. |
