| Abstract | The technology of thermally sprayed coatings by the HVOF process is an auspicious technology of creating more than 50 μm thick coatings. Using this flexible, versatile and economical technology enables to adapt surface properties of parts to their working conditions. It leads to extension of lifetime and increasing of reliability and safety of coated parts. In dependence of coating materials, they can be used for many applications. The group of wear resistant coatings with favourable friction properties can be used in power industry for increasing the lifetime and reliability of rotation parts of turbines. In that case the resistance of coatings to changes in temperature is one of the necessary conditions. The paper is focused on microstructural changes in the following thermally sprayed coatings: Cr3C2-35NiCr, NiCrMoWFe, CoMoCrSi, Cr3C2-CoNiCrAlY and WC-CrC-Ni, which are initiated by electrically induced thermal cycles. The coatings were examined by X-ray diffraction, SEM imaging and microhardness testing. |
