| Abstract | The construction industry involves both the effort of the human being and machines to transform materials into architecture and engineering works. Materials management includes the following processes: planning, supplying, negotiation, ordering, reception, storage, use, resupplying, payment and cost control. This diversity of management processes, the great variety of materials, the amount of information generated during management, and participation of third party companies in these processes, causes materials management to be very complex. This is the reason why it is important to understand the phenomenon and to have systematized processes. The purpose of this paper is to provide a guide for the execution of the necessary processes for the construction materials management. |
