| Abstract | Due to their thermo-mechanical properties, ceramic matrix composites (CMC) are intended for new generation of civil aircraft engines. Mechanical damage of these materials is monitored by acoustic emission. A signal approach is set in order to characterize acoustic activity. The study of signal waveforms lead to the implementation of new descriptors. These descriptors give additional information on signal frequency spectrum. Time-frequency analysis allows to distinguish several class of acoustic emission signal, with a view to associate them with damage mechanisms of this material (fiber failure, matrix crack, fiber-matrix debonding). Mots Clés : Composites à matrice céramique, émission acoustique, mécanismes d’endommagement |
