Abstract	A novel protocol to prepare multi-substituted dihydrofuropyridine and dihydropyrrolopyridine derivatives from KOH-catalyzed reactions between readily available N-propargylic β-enaminones and arylaldehydes or N-sulfonyl imines has been developed in moderate to good yields.
