Abstract	The objective of the study was to assess the frequency of nail involvement in psoriasis patients and detect the relationship between nail involvement and different clinical parameters. 178 patients with psoriasis were in-cluded in the study (54 women and 124 men) for each patient was calculated the PASI and NAPSI value, clinical interview was conducted in order to detect anamnestic features. 76.9% of subjects showed signs of nail involvement (NAPSI ≥1). Nail lesions were associated with longer duration of psoriasis (15.6 vs 14.0 years). The average PASI score was significantly higher in individuals with nail involvement (12.0 vs 8.7 p=0.06). 85.7% of patients with psoriatic arthritis showed nail involvement. Individuals with psoriatic arthritis have a significantly duration of skin disease longer compared with individuals with skin involvement only (22.7 vs 13.8 years p=0.0001). The study revealed that nail psoriasis is a very common problem. It is associated with more severe and durable psoriasis and it is strongly correlated with psoriatic arthritis.
