| Abstract | Text based image retrieval existing at now it has not been fully can be used because the name of a file can not represent its contents. Image retrieval become less accurate if someone else is modify file name image without take into account the content or information from file that image. To overcome these obstacles, content based image retrieval can be done. Content based image retrieval is done by matching features an image that searched with features an image that is on a database. The identified image features can be texture features, shape, and color, but the features that will be used in this research is identification image of shape and color features. The method that used for the extraction of shape features is Sobel Operator while for the extraction of color features uses detection of HSV color. This research uses 100 images of 10 different types of flower image with different shapes and colors as the query image and the database image. After testing, so can be concluded that extraction of shape features using Sobel Operator can find 33,25 % relevant image while extraction of color features using detection of hsv color can find 27 % relevant image. The extraction of shape features using Sobel Operator can find 66,5 % the image of a whole image in a database while extraction of color features using detection of HSV color can find 54 % image of a whole image in a database. |
