| Abstract | Poly(methyl methacrylate) /poly(ethylene glycol) /multi-walled carbon nanotubes (PMMA/PEG/MWNTs) nanocomposites were prepared by ultrasonic assisted free radical bulk polymerization. The effect of different weight percent loadings of MWNTs on the morphological and thermal properties of PMMA/PEG/MWNTs nanocomposites had been investigated. It was found that, at low concentration of MWNTs, it could uniformly disperse into PMMA/PEG blends and increase the nucleation density of PEG. Thermal analysis showed that a clear improvement of thermal stability for PMMA/PEG/MWNTs nanocomposites increased with increasing MWNTs content. |
