| Abstract | The external and internal morphological aspects of fruit and seed and the external aspects of germination process, seedlings and saplings of D. mollis Benth. were studied, these observations being made both in the laboratory and greenhouse. Some aspects observed were that the fruit is indehyscent, seed is albuminous, the germination is epigeous-phanerocotylar, and there was an enlargement of primary and secondary roots. These results can be used to identify the species in taxonomic studies, laboratory and nursery practices as well as in natural regeneration studies. |
