| Abstract | New spaceborne and airborne imaging spectrometers are being proposed and developed to derive properties of the Earth's surface from measurements of the upwelling radiance in the solar reflected spectrum. To achieve these objectives the measurements must meet a minimum set of spectral, radiometric, and spatial requirements. Based on experience with the AVIRIS sensor since 1987, a set of baseline spectral, radiometric, and spatial requirements are offered. |
