| Abstract | Septic infections are one of the main causes of morbidity and mortality on the whole world, it is characterizec by epidemiological and clinical changes over a period of time. The objective of this study is determine the antibiotic susceptibility profile of the isolated bacterias on blood cultures of hospitalized patients on a clinical third level institution in Bogota for hospitalized patients on a clinical third level institution in Bogota for a period of 5 years. For this, 7515 blood cultures reports were checked, this was made by Whonet 5.6 progran , finding that 14.8% of the samples showed a positive result for at least one blood culture. The microorganism whit higher frequency is E. coli (341 cases), being the predominant methicillin resistant on CGP with (21.6%) and the service which had a higher number of cases was emergency with (504 cases). |
