| Abstract | The industrial society undergoes a structural change for services society. Thus, the organizations, in a global context, undergo a paradigm shift in technology leadership for leadership in use. For this, the companies have adopted the servitization as differentiation strategy, which is the integration of services and products. This strategy approaches the manufacturers of their consumers, adding value to the product, increasing the satisfaction and loyalty of your customers and creating a sustainable competitive barrier. On this context, this article aims to investigate whether Brazilian organizations in the construction industry have adapted their strategies, in line to the world market , and added services to its business portfolio. To analyze the use of servitization, a case study was conducted in a business group midsized construction, located in a known Balneario, during the first quarter of 2013. The method used was semi-structured interviews with the representatives of the organization. The strategy was characterized by expansion of the group since 2007, in service activities. With these actions, there was an increase in production of building area of 50.14 %, over the last five years, and an increase in 10.05% in the index of satisfaction of its consumers, over the last three years, demonstrating the appropriateness of using servitization as a business strategy. |
