Abstract	This article presents the relationships that justified philosophically the freedom of expression. The first part shows the relationship between freedom of expression and the freedom and equality. The second deals with its relationship with democracy. This is intended to demonstrate how these links support this freedom, which is the essential basis of a democratic society.
