| Abstract | This document presents the results obtained from the application of the Karl Hereford Interest Inventory to identify people ́s vocational interests. This instrument was applied to a group of 60 victims of the Colombian armed conflict linked to the “Victims Unit”, Bogotá headquarters, in order to establish a relationship between the programs and job opportunities offered by this institution. Then, a description of the different vocational options, competencies, characteristics and their most relevant skills is made: the main results show a strong tendency for mechanical (28%) and numerical interests (10%) aimed at professions or activities such as engineering, general mechanics, as well as professions or activities in finance, accounting, administration, and social relations. |
