| Abstract | In the actual crisis, two concepts have become more importants: corporate social responsibility and ethical banking. The entities that apply CSR in their business are entities with social and environmental concerns. They are concerned about giving a good image to all their stakeholders and that their business have positively affects in the society and in the environment. Ethical banking is considerated an alternative to the crisis. They are banks that adopt the principles of CSR. They pursue a double objective, on the one hand to obtain a social benefit, financing economic activities with a positive impact on society, and on the other hand to archieve profits. Their precessors were savings banks and credit cooperatives. Both share a social purpose and the fight against financial exclusion with the microcredits. Despite this social finality, they are profitable and sustainable entities. Nowadays, some traditional banks want to exercise an ethical function so they created ethical business areas. Through them, they try to reach people who can't access traditional banking, offering products from this banks as microcredits. |
