EnglishThe aim of this investigation is to explore and to interpret the social representation of the politic function of the education, with which the ‘Basic Primary Education’’s future teachers enter to the Superior Institutes of Teacher Formation No 56 and 88 of ‘La Matanza’ in the academic cycle 2006. For it, were investigated the previous concepts, beliefs, opinions and practical knowledges on the education and its political function formed by these aspirants to the teaching. To reveal the information there was in use a questionnaire applied to the whole population of both institutes, and a semiconstructed interview administered to a group of seventeen aspirants, which were selected from the option they chose with regard to the motives for which they chose the career: ' to transform reality ' and ' to improve the social situation '. Of the analysis and interpretation of this information there were obtained elements that allow to affirm that who aspire to exercise this profession do not suppose that education possesses a political function which defines, in a explicit or implicit form, the priorities of the educational practice. Was observed also that for these aspirants the central nucleus of the social representation of the education is its potential to form children in values. The poverty, the exclusion, the social violence are understood as diversions that can and must be corrected across the inculcation of such values as solidarity, respect, equality and not discrimination, task that is defined like prior for the school. Assuming it as a basic Pedagogy task, the intention of this work is to help to denaturalize and to demythologize some conceptualizations about education, which are incorporated as social representations of the reality and are used as modals of to think, feel and act. |
