Abstract	Este artigo baseia-se em investigacao que tem a Epistemologia Genetica piagetiana como quadro teorico e pretende responder se a docencia no ensino superior pode constituir-se em espaco de construcao de conhecimento. Investigou-se o egocentrismo como possivel obstaculo pedagogico a construcao de conhecimento e procurou-se identificar possibilidades de descentracao que auxiliem na transformacao do ensino superior num espaco de construcoes cognitivas que abram caminhos para novas aprendizagens. Abstract This article is based on research considering Piaget’s Genetic Epistemology as the theoretical framework and aims to find out whether teaching in higher education may configure a space for knowledge building or not. We investigated egocentrism as a possible pedagogical obstruction to the building of knowledge and we sought to identify decentration possibilities which may contribute for the transformation of higher education in a space of cognitive constructions that open ways for new learning.
