| Abstract | Today, some of the rural areas of Cordoba department are not part of the electrical wiring interconnection system; a problem when it comes to food preservation. Cordoba is subject to high solar radiation throughout the year; there- fore, the development of devices powered by an alterna- tive energy source may provide the solution to this prob- lem. The aim of this study was to simulate and analyze an intermittent refrigeration system using ASPEN Hysys software. The simulation was carried out in order to ob- tain a maximum coefficient of performance (COP) of 1.0 at 93°C and 1547 kPa, considering the effect of vari- ables such as ammonia concentration, amount of solu- tion, pressure generation, and temperature generation. |
