| Abstract | Service discovery, an essential building block of nomadic and ubiquitous computing applications, needs to be secured to be effectively deployed. Centralized and decentralized approaches have been proposed to this end. This paper analyzes the application layer secure matching function using a Markovian performance model in order to analyze various deployment scenarios. This study outlines the determinant parameters that should be evaluated for selecting one out of these two architectures in order to ensure a scalable and efficient service discovery. |
