Abstract	This research was made in order to evaluate the dynamics of growth of grass Brachiaria brizantha CV Toledo and the light effect in growth of it, with this information we could determine when is the best time of the grazing. This study was made in San Miguel farm, which is located in Colombian tropic, Orinoco region. It was taken as an object of study, a plot planted in grass Toledo that was previously subdivided into six areas each with three repetitions, where different measurement methods were used; such as taking forest variables of this grass, and taken climate data with the help of technological tools such as the SF80 Sunfleck ceptometer (Delta -T Devices Ltd. Cambridge, UK) the meter plate and thermometer As results and conclusions found in the foothills we find a marked variability within climate affecting negative way the proper development and growth of fodder, in the case of our investigation found problems more than anything to rainfall since it was clear that in week 1 there was an excess of rainfall which may have affected the development of fodder hypoxia as the floor where the research was conducted has clayey characteristics which causes not drain easily, for reasons of light intensity not evidenced problems and never lower levels than those required for the physiological processes of the plant is reached. According to the results of the study we can also conclude that for every 100mm of water Brachiaria brizantha under these conditions toledo cv. height 8.2cm disturbed and will increase by 0.7 numbers of living leaves, within which we light each 10.000 Wh Plant height increased 1.13cm disturbed and each will have a new live 100.000 Wh sheet
