Abstract	The objective is to analyze the management model administered by the Empresa Brasileira de Servicos Hospitalares EBSERH adopted in University Hospitals of Rio Grande do Norte state showing their advantages and disadvantages. As a research strategy, It was used a case study and literature review on the topic of analyzing case studies of public-private partnerships and private efforts in health in another countries. The research data were collected through semi-structured interview with the administrative manager of one of the units. The results showed that model as best benefits planning, structure and control of human and financial resources. About structure, the focus is on the infrastructure reform, purchasing new equipments and hiring skilled labor, already in the planning it was possible to see a clear definition of management goals to be achieved, lastly, in control was observed best management of employees and financial resources. Until now, there is a disadvantage in the bureaucracy and delays in scheduling adaptations, since the transition occurs over a year.
