| Abstract | We applied an experimental study of visual afterimages and electroencephalographic with two males right-handed healthy subjects of 22 years. EEG was made before three sequential visual stimuli: green, red and blue of 45 s each one, putting white screens before and blacks after the stimulus. Before the black screen the subjects closed their eyes and indicated the afterimage generation or suppression. Absolute Power (PA) of the EEG in was obtained. Changes in PA between open (15.6 uV2 all bands) and closed eyes was observed (delta and theta, 15.6 uV2, alpha +/ 50 uV2). White screen: smaller PA generalized in the four bands. Green screen: smaller PA in the four bands (without afterimage report). Red screen: greater PA delta and theta in right frontal region, low PA posterior regions. Generation of 1, 2 and 3 afterimage low PA in the four bands. Suppression: greater alpha PA in occipitals with right asymmetry. Blue screen: greater delta and theta PA in frontal, low PA posterior regions. Generation 1.afterimage: low delta and theta PA, with greater alpha PA in right occipital; suppression: greater alpha PA in occipitals. Generation 2 afterimage: lowers PA in all four bands; suppression: greater alpha PA in occipitals with right asymmetry. Evident changes in occipitals PA of right predominance afterimages presence. The red and blue colors facilitated afterimages generation. |
