| Abstract | RESUMO O presente artigo debate sobre os fatores de carater social e cultural altamente especificos dos agricultores familiares e suas divergencias ante a logica de modernizacao conservadora, preconizada pela Revolucao Verde. O objetivo e discutir as formas de agir e viver dessa categoria social, na perspectiva de valores subjacentes a um desenvolvimento agricola que ultrapasse o binomio capital-terra. ABSTRACT This article discusses about the highly specific social and cultural character factors of family farmers and their differences to the conservative modernization logic, promoted by the Green Revolution. The aim is to discuss the ways of acting and living this social category, in view of underlying values to an agricultural development that goes beyond the capital-earth binomial.
