Abstract: In this paper a brief study of the different indoor propagation models is performed, it is considered three different propagation models, also it is described a site survey procedure. Both the simulation of the models and the graphical representation of the measurements, have been made regarding to the area covered by the access points in the library and classrooms at the main campus ofPolitecnico di Torino. With the coverage information from the different access points it is proceeds to identify and assess the area covered by more than one access points simultaneously i.e. the overlapping area, later on with the use of this information is possible to activate resources on demand and in and thus obtain energy- efficient networks. Finally it is convenient mention that the present research is part of a project of energy-efficient networks design carried out by the Telecommunication Networks Group of Politecnico di Torino. |
