| Abstract | The research focuses on the fractional order controller of the permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) speed servo system. In view of the fact that the algorithm of fractional order PID controller parameter tuning is complex and its calculation amount is large, a fractional order controller based on Bode's ideal transfer function and its tuning algorithm are put forward. This algorithm is using the character of Bode's ideal transfer function to tuning the fractional controller parameters. The tuning algorithm is simple and easy. The plant is the mathematical model of the PMSM speed servo system which the current loop is simplified. The fractional controller is designed with this plant, and it is compared with the integer order PI speed loop controller by both simulation and experiment. The simulation and experiment results show that the fractional controller can keep the system overshoot while plant gain changing. It means that the fractional controller has strong gain robustness on overshoot. And at the same time on the control performance index, the fractional order controller is obviously superior to the integer order PI control. Copyright © 2014 IFSA Publishing, S. L. |
