| Abstract | This study aims to investigate the pre-service teachers' spatial visualization ability and spatial anxiety levels with respect to their gender and undergraduate programs. Data were collected from 1007 third and fourth year undergraduate pre-service teachers enrolled in elementary mathematics, science, and early childhood education programs from four universities in Ankara, Turkey. Spatial Visualization Test and the Spatial Anxiety Scale were used as data collection instruments. The results revealed a statistically significant difference between the spatial visualization ability and spatial anxiety scores of participants in terms of both gender and undergraduate program. OĞRETMEN ADAYLARININ UZAMSAL GORSELLEŞTIRME YETENEKLERI VE UZAMSAL KAYGILARI UZERINE BIR CALIŞMA Bu calismanin amaci ogretmen adaylarinin cinsiyetlerini ve lisans programlarini dikkate alarak uzamsal gorsellestirme yetenekleri ve uzamsal kaygi seviyelerini incelemektir. Veriler ilkogretim matematik, fen bilgisi ve okuloncesi ogretmenligi bolumlerinde ucuncu ve dorduncu sinifta okuyan 1007 ogretmen adayindan toplanmistir. Veri toplama araci olarak Uzamsal Gorsellestirme Testi ve Uzamsal Kaygi Olcegi kullanilmistir. Bulgular katilimcilarin uzamsal gorsellestirme ve uzamsal kaygilari puanlari arasinda cinsiyetlerine ve lisans programlarina gore anlamli bir fark oldugunu gostermistir. |
