| Abstract | In order to provide a higher level of education and technological services in sensitive areas to progress in Colombian Small business, and encourage research in materials science and the study of production processes and manufacturing, there is the need to develop within the University EAN, implementing laboratories, to support vital research areas to improve production processes in the areas of manufacturing, materials, machine design, and secondly the study of different systems production. Among the most important areas are highlighted, the detailed study of existing materials, the study of conventional and unconventional manufacturing, product design and process simulation and modeling. For these reasons, there is the initiative to build a viable proposal that will facilitate the creation of a design and subsequent implementation of materials and testing laboratory for this institution, which would allow to rise in terms of the basic requirements for developing a more robust education program and competent. In addition to eligibility and, as stated in the beginning, to the needs of the country's economy and likewise to the needs of Small and medium enterprises. |
