| Abstract | One of the best options to exploit the soil, is the system of tillage and cultivation in the consortium, currently one of the consortia used in some regions is planting season maize with Brachiaria ruziziensis. Purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of the presence of B. ruziziensis in consortium with the cultivation of Maize in the suppression of weeds. The work was carried out in various properties such as Tanabe site (area 1), Site Garcia (area 2), Site Marcolli (area 3), Farm maringaensis (area 4) and Site Ruffato (area 5) in the town of Floresta of Paraná state, in an Oxisol. Evaluations of weed control were evaluated at 20 days after planting soybeans. The methodology used for assessment of weed control is to measure a square meter with wooden stakes, with four replications in each area, with and without implantation of B.ruziziensis deployment, making identification and counting all weeds. The results showed that the consortium can be accomplished without affecting the viability of corn grain yield, while producing large amount of mass as a source of green feed and drying occurs after the formation of dry matter, with the advantages to keep the soil covered by reducing the twinning and weed emergence. |
