Abstract	La finalidad del trabajo es determinar si el perfil del alumnado que estudio Magisterio en las Escuelas Normales de Cordoba durante los planes de estudio de 1903, 1914 y 1931 en cuanto a su sexo, procedencia geografica, extraccion social y modalidad de ensenanza cursada es similar al de otras provincias de la geografia peninsular y si confirma o no afirmaciones ya clasicas al respecto. La metodologia empleada es de corte cuantitativo –descriptiva y correlacional-. La muestra sobre la que se ha llevado a cabo el estudio ha sido de 618 sujetos, permitiendo la generalizacion de unos resultados que muestran que el genero no es un factor determinante en cuanto a la procedencia geografica y la extraccion social del alumnado, pero si en lo que se refiere a la modalidad de ensenanza cursada en los planes de estudio analizados. En definitiva, este trabajo supone una nueva aportacion a las investigaciones historicas que utilizan una metodologia cuantitativa para exponer sus resultados desde otra perspectiva. The aim of this paper is to determine if the profile of the students of Teacher Training Schools in Cordoba in the study plans of 1903, 1914 and 1931 are similar to the ones of other Spanish provinces. In addition, the paper also intends to confirm or reject some of the classic statements on this matter. The article uses quantitative -descriptive and correlational- methodology. The study relies on a sample of 618 subjects and the main results show that the genre is not a determining factor regarding the geographical origin and the social extraction of the students, but it is related to the type of education within the study plans being analysed. This paper sets the foundations for subsequent historical research intended to use quantitative methodology to present findings from a different perspective.
