| Abstract | This paper proposes a methodology of analysis and design aiming the guarantee of performance of a discrete-time linear system subject to finite quantization on the input of the controlled plant. The logarithmic quantization case is considered. Through LMI-based conditions, the guaranteed exponential decay coefficient of the system is estimated. At first, the controller design allows to minimize that coefficient. Afterwards, the controller is designed in order to maximize the region of validity of a required coefficient. Finally, a numerical example is presented to validate the work. Keywords— Quantized control, Performance, LMI Resumo— Neste artigo, propõe-se uma metodologia de análise e projeto visando a garantia de desempenho de sistemas lineares de tempo-discreto quando sujeitos à quantização finita na entrada da planta controlada. Considera-se o caso da quantização logaŕıtmica. Utilizando condições baseadas em LMIs, estima-se o coeficiente de decaimento exponencial garantido do sistema. Primeiramente, a śıntese do controlador permite minimizar este coeficiente. Posteriormente, o controlador é sintetizado com o objetivo de maximizar a região de validade de um coeficiente requerido.
