Abstract	espanolEste documento de trabajo presenta las nuevas estimaciones del stock y los servicios del capital para la economia espanola en el periodo 1964-2010 (disponibles en www.fbbva.es). Los resultados que ahora se muestran contienen varias novedades importantes en la linea de investigacion iniciada en 2005 con el libro El stock y los servicios de capital en Espana (1964-2002). Nueva metodologia, linea que a su vez es deudora del programa de investigacion desarrollado conjuntamente por la Fundacion BBVA y el Ivie desde hace mas de quince anos. En primer lugar, se ha revisado la base de datos ajustandola a las recomendaciones mas recientes de la OCDE. Las consecuencias cuantitativas de este cambio metodologico no son importantes y tienen la ventaja de converger con el procedimiento seguido por el Bureau of Labor Statistics y el proyecto EU KLEMS. En segundo lugar, se ofrecen por primera vez los datos por activos y sectores con desagregacion territorial, por comunidades autonomas y provincias, completando la vertiente sectorial de la base de datos que hasta ahora estaba ausente. Con ello, aumenta significativamente la riqueza informativa de las estimaciones, y se ofrecen nuevas herramientas estadisticas para la comprension del proceso de crecimiento de las provincias y regiones espanolas. EnglishThis working paper presents new estimates of stock and capital services for the Spanish economy for the period 1964-2010 (available at www.fbbva.es). The results present some additional features to the ones already contained in the research that started in 2005 with the publication El stock y los servicios de capital en Espana (1964-2002). Nueva metodologia, and which is part of the Research Program developed by the BBVA Foundation and the Ivie for over fifteen years now. First, the database has been adjusted to the most recent recommendations of the OECD. The quantitative consequences of this methodological change are not significant and have the advantage of converging with the procedure followed by the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) and the EU KLEMS project. Second, for the first time data are offered by assets and industries, with a territorial breakdown by regions and provinces, completing the sectoral coverage of the database. This addition significantly increases the wealth of information contained in the estimates and offers new statistical tools for understanding the growth process of the Spanish provinces and regions.
