Abstract	At present, different institutions have added the intranet in their facilities, with the purpose of improvements in the work environment, that strengthen the communication and contribution by the personnel that conform that institution. This tool has been gradually incorporated in the public and private institutions of Ecuador, allowing to observe the benefits that they contribute in these, especially in the educational field, where in addition to offering information gives the opportunity to the educational community to bring new knowledge and make better use of the technology they count on. In this work, a prototype of intranet was developed in the Career of Engineering in Computational Systems of the University of Guayaquil using languages of programming HTML, PHP for the diffusion of contents of the syllabus, scientific articles and the Establishment of a communication medium for teacher and student, making use of the RUP methodology which is a software engineering process, which provides a disciplined approach to assigning tasks and responsibilities in an organization of Development, aiming to ensure the production of high quality software that meets the needs of its end users, obtaining as a result a tool (intranet) for the Career of Engineering in Computational Systems according to the Requirements established in this project by the users and providing a technological positioning in comparison with related careers in other universities.
