| Abstract | The main objective of the current investigation was to analyse the relationships that may exist between the organizational climate and the culture of Patient Safety that exist in the Navy Medical Centre (Centro Medico Naval) in order to generate viable alternatives that permit improve significantly the quality of attention to the patients that go there. In the development of the current investigation were used the Scale of Organizational Climate of Carlos Caceres and the Hospital Survey on Patient Safety in its Spanish version (Madrid: Ministry of Health and Consumption [Ministerio de Sanidad y Consumo]). The statistical analyses the tests were submitted to indicate us the instruments are valid and reliable. These tests were applied to a sample of 234 people that included both doctors and nurses. The statistical results indicate us that the organizational climate and the culture of Patient Safety are significantly related. Moreover, it was found that doctors value more the organizational climate and the culture of patient safety than the nurses. |
