| Abstract | Introduction. In Ukraine only Echinacea purpurea (L.) Moench is used for production of medicines, whereas in other countries also Echinacea (Nutt.) Nutt. is also used. The scientists of Poltava Agricultural Academy cultivated new sort of Echinacea pallida in order to expand the plant raw-materials base of Ukraine. The scientists of National Pharmaceutical University obtained the dry extract of this sort of Echinacea. Next, phytochemical composition of dry extract from the roots of Echinacea pallida species Krasawica prerii was studied. Aim. The aim of our work was the study of pharmacological activity of this extract. Material and methods. Anti-inflammatory activity was studied using the model of carrageenan edema of mice limbs. Adaptogenic activity was researched involving rats; those rats were put into the pool will cool water that created the situation of stress. Reparative activity was studied involving rats, using the model of conventional wounds. Results. It was determined that dry extract from Echinacea pale roots exhibits anti-inflammatory, adaptogenic and regenerative activity. Conclusions. As a result of studies carried out the dry extract from Echinacea pallida can be used for production of medicine preparations with anti-inflammatory, adaptogenic and regenerative activities. |
