| Abstract | Experiments with peas had been conducted during two years. Four varieties with four plant densities had been tested with respect to yield and weed growth. Conclusions are that the recommended plant density of 80 kernels/sqm is sufficient for yield and less weed-growth. For weed growth the choosen variety is more important than the plant density. Stability till harvest is the most important characteristic of variety for reducing weed growth. |
