| Abstract | espanolDesde una perspectiva eclectica, en la que se combinan los principios y metodos de la sociopragmatica y el variacionismo linguistico, en el trabajo se analizan los factores que justifican algunas diferencias relevantes entre la descortesia que despliegan los participantes en un programa actual de telerrealidad mediatica, Mujeres, hombres y viceversa (HMYV), y otros concursos televisivos (Operacion Triunfo) en los que median importantes diferencias en el eje del poder. Frente a estos ultimos, por ejemplo, en HMYV una proporcion nada desdenable de la descortesia se acumula en los turnos de replica, donde aquellos que previamente se han visto ofendidos propinan a su vez toda suerte de agresiones a sus criticos, dejando de lado otro tipo de respuestas meramente defensivas o justificativas, mas habituales en otros programas. Por otro lado, este perfil variacionista esta tambien intimamente asociado a los roles desempenados por los diferentes protagonistas del concurso, con los ganchos como principales arietes de la descortesia mas descarnada, al tiempo que tronistas y pretendientes dedican mas tiempo a defenderse de las criticas recibidas, aunque su potencial ofensivo sea tambien muy elevado. Complementariamente, el estudio se completa con un analisis de la recepcion de esta descortesia entre una muestra de cincuenta jueces representativos de diferentes sexos, edades y lugares de procedencia, con diferencias significativas entre algunos de los subgrupos formados. Entre las principales conclusiones de este estudio destaca el descubrimiento de una cierta contradiccion entre las opiniones de los jueces cuando enjuician el papel de agresores y agredidos —para la mayoria existen motivos sobrados para la ofensa— y el grado de implicacion personal ante esas agresiones, lo que revela la existencia de complejas relaciones en el seguimiento de estos programas de entretenimiento por parte de los espectadores, mayoritariamente mujeres jovenes. EnglishTaking advantage of the interactional sociolinguistics and the variationist analytical tools, the paper analyzes the differences about the factors conditioning the production and reception of impoliteness displayed by the main participants in a current Spanish reality contest, Mujeres, hombres y viceversa (HMYV), and other TV shows in which significant differences among participants in the power axis are the norm. Unlike the latter, for instance, impoliteness in HMYV is mostly concentrated not in the initiative moves but in the counter ones, where those who have been previously offended inflict all sorts of attacks to his/her critics, ignoring other purely defensive responses, more usual in other TV contests. Furthermore, the variationist profile of this impoliteness is also intimately associated to the roles played by diverse actors in the program, with ganchos as the main protagonist of impoliteness, while tronistas and pretendientes devote more time to defend him/herself off the criticism, although their offensive weapons are also very high, much more than in other realities. Additionally, the study is completed with an analysis of the reception of this impoliteness from the audience, in this case a sample of fifty judges of different sexes, ages and local origins, among which some significant differences are founded. Among the main findings of this reception study highlights the discovery of a certain contradiction among the opinions of the judges when they evaluate the role of aggressors and victims -for most of the audience members, there are good reasons for the offense-, and the degree of personal involvement about these attacks. This contradiction evidences the complexity of the monitoring of these entertainment programs from TV spectators, especially young women at present in Spain. |
