Abstract | A novel multilayered wideband microwave absorber based on lossy Sierpinski carpet array has been proposed. The absorber consists of four layers of Sierpinski carpet arrays composed of lossy materials with varying conductivities. The absorber has −10 dB absorption bandwidth of more than two octaves for normally incident wave and p-polarised obliquely incident wave, from 6 to 40 GHz. The thickness of the absorber is 7.2 mm. The structure does not contain any lumped elements and hence can be realised using 3D printing technology. |
