| Abstract | Increased life expectancy means that many older people live beyond 85 years and therefore increasingly need appropriate social responses to their needs, at a time when families are gradually DISCLAIM of care for seniors. The best known social responses in our country are the nursing homes, or residential structures for the elderly and they have come to assume an increasingly important role in our society. This study sought to assess the felt quality and satisfaction of customers resident of a residential structure for the elderly. For this research was the most reliable possible were conducted 12 semistructured interviews with residents of the Social Center of Our Lady of Needs Alcaria in Fundao County during the months of December 2015 and February 2016. The results of this study allowed us to understand the perception that the elderly living in nursing homes have about the services and care and that will influence their satisfaction and quality of life. With this study we seek to help the Directions and Managing Bodies of the best institutions to assess and enhance the types of services and care available and meeting the needs felt by residents, particularly with regard to improving the quality of life for seniors. |
