| Abstract | The aim of the present work was to study a Semi-deciduous Seasonal Forest fragment. It was carried out at the Santa Irene Farm (48° 33W and 23° 17'S) wich is a property of Eucatex Florestal Ltda., in Itatinga, São Paulo, Brazil. The study covered an area of 15ha. Two normal transects were located in that fragment. They were then subdivided in 42 parcels of 20x5m , totalizing 0,42ha. The individuals with DBH greater than or equal to 4,8cm were then mensured, totalizing 954 individuals, gathered into 42 families, 73 genera and 97 species. The families wich had the highest number of species were Myrtaceae, Lauraceae and Euphorbiaceae. Copaifera langsdorffii, Matayba elaeagnoides, Lithraea molleoides, Dendropanax cuneatum and Protium almecega stood out as the ones with a higher level of importance. The Shannons diversity index (H) was 3,77 and the eqüability (J) was 0,82. |
