| Abstract | Whiteflies are insects of great economic Interest for the damages that they cause as fitophagous or for the hability of some species to transmit diseases caused for geminivirus. Though in the Caribbean islands there is a relative knowledge on Aleyrodidae’s fauna, the studies have increased in the majority of the countries that compose them last years. Up to the present, 74 species representing 10.4 % of the known ones in the world and 34.4 % of the Neotropical region, have been informed; so there stay collected species that have not been identified and others that expect to be discovered, since it is obvious that the wealth Caribbean fauna must be major, for which it would be advisable to continue the studies of the species and host plants in order to reinforce this list. |
