Abstract	This study analyses some lexical particularities of the language of the ‘Portuguese nation’ of Amsterdam found in three documents: two registers of the burial ground at Ouderkerk aan de Amstel, respectively the Livro de Bet Haim do Kahal Kados de Bet Yahacob (1614-1630) and the Livro de Bet Haim do Kahal Kados de Talmud Torah (1639-1648), being the third document the Livro dos termos e as[s]entos da Companhia Santa de dotar orfa[n]s e donzelas (1616). Foreign words (specially, Dutch) are studied, and it is provided a more detailed analysis of the words esclavim, balio, escotete, placa, pataca, pascoa / pasquoa, envoluntar, atuendo, balotar, buselo and bala .
