| Abstract | Cannabis is the most widely used, trafficked and consumed illegal drug in the world. In recent years there has been an increase in the prevalence of consumption, especially among the younger population. Moreover, it is estimated that 2.5% of Spanish youth between the ages of 14 and 18 are involved in problematic cannabis use. In recent decades cannabis has been the subject of research, as recent studies point to an increased risk of suffering several mental disorders among users of this substance. In this study, it has been carried out a bibliographic review with the aim of knowing the harmful effects of cannabis use on mental health, analysing the relationship between this consumption and the appearance of mental disorders and what has been published in the literature on nursing interventions in this field. |
