Abstract	En el presente estudio indagamos la situacion del velo islamico en los centros escolares de Alemania y el Reino Unido, donde se han estudiado las relaciones de los Estados con la religion, el tratamiento legislativo otorgado, los casos mas controvertidos de cada pais, asi como la actual situacion. Paradojicamente, en el Reino Unido, estado confesional donde la religion es considerada como servicio publico, sus autoridades y sociedad apenas rechazan el uso del velo islamico, en comparacion con un pais no confesional como Alemania. Abstract We have carried out a study in order to know the situation the Islamic veil in the schools of Germany and United Kingdom, in which we have studied the relations between States and the religion, the legislative treatment given it, the most controversial cases of every country, as well as the current situation. Paradoxically, in the United Kingdom, that recognizes a state religion and is considered a public service, the authorities and society scarcely reject the use of the Islamic veil, over a country without a state religion as Germany.
