Abstract	We present the first record of Morelet's crocodile Crocodylus moreletii for Hidalgo, Mexico. The crocodile was hunted in the estuary near the river by a local from the community Congreso Permanente Agrario, 13 km E from Huejutla at an elevation of 90 m asl.
