Abstract	This document has the overall aim to answer the following research question: What are the factors in the international and national labor regulations that allow inclusion of people with disabilities in Colombia? To this end, first presents the different conceptions and academic perspectives that define disability to show that it is a dynamic and strongly influenced by the collective ideas about generating spatiotemporally category. In a second part, characterized and identified people with disabilities in Latin America and national level, deepening the theme of employability. In a third stage, a sociological review different conventions and laws to trace the right to work of persons with disabilities and the dimensions that are considered important in this regard is made. Finally the results and some concluding remarks, where it seeks to elucidate why despite the extensive legislation in Colombia there is still a serious disconnect between the terms of the role and actions advanced by both governmental and non-governmental institutions are presented.
