| Abstract | The paper industries are great consumers of water, this fact turns necessary a larger reuse of waters existent and originated in the process. This work presents a study of treatment wastewater paper machine efficiency by dissolved air flotation and by sedimentation seeking the indirect reuse. The treated wastewater presents better quality than the untreated water uses by industry in most of the tests, mainly in turbidity, color and suspended solids. In some cases, especially in dissolved air flotation, the quality of the treated wastewater is similar of the water produced by water treatment facility. The treatment processes studied produced water with low turbidity, color, COD and suspended solids, what indicates possibility of direct reuse or combined reuse with the untreated water used in Water Treatment Facility for industrial ends. |
